Milk
People who are found to be calcium-deficient are said to have difficulty falling asleep which means stocking up on your dairy products, including milk and yoghurt, should help.

As well as being rich in potassium, bananas are also a good source to Vitamin B6 which makes the sleep-inducing hormone melatonin.

Magnesium apparently improves the quality of your sleep. If your levels are too low, you could find yourself waking up more often.

Lettuce contains lactucarium which has sedative properties, meaning that lettuce-based salads are a great way to relax and thus should improve your sleeping patterns.
