Sarah Cox was diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was only 10 years old. As the daughter of a photographer, Sarah decided that she and her father Mark should put their energy in to a collaborative project.
The pair decided to document Sarah’s battle with cancer through a series of photos aptly titled, 'Strong.’
Although Sarah went into remission after only a month of care, her treatment continued for another three years. Sarah is now 13, and back to good health.
In an interview her father said that Sarah is ‘excited’ at the thought that people may find her story inspiring.
"Sarah's the one who came up with the idea for the project. She always has final input as to which photos I use,"
"She's excited that people might be inspired by her story and also that childhood leukemia is getting some attention,” Mark added.
