Getting into gardening? The Grow Your Own Cocktail kit is a great place to start

Melissa Carton

Yes please!

The last couple of weeks during lockdown I’ve really been getting into gardening.

I never had a garden before so I’m a complete novice and I’m currently attempting to grow squash and peas.

One thing that I’ve always wanted to grow at home though is herbs.

There’s nothing worse than cooking and finding that you’ve run out of basil or oregano so having a home grown supply of herbs in the garden would be so handy.

If you’ve been thinking about testing out your green finger skills, then what better kit to start with than this.

The Grow Your Own Cocktail is essential for anyone who loves mixing and making their own cocktails.

A kit like this is especially useful now that we can’t go to our favourite pubs or restaurants for cocktails.

Each Grow Your Own Cocktail set includes:

  • FSC cardboard box
  • Seeds (Basil, Ocimum basilicum, cucumber, Cucumis sativus, ‘lemon’, mint, Mentha spicata, dill, Anethum graveolens)
  • Soil
  • Instruction cards with growing tips and recipes

Unfortunately, alcohol is not included, but if you are someone who makes home brews then this is a great kit to add to home recipes.

The Grow Your Own Cocktail kits are available from Reuzi, an Irish store selling sustainable lifestyle products.

Priced at €22.99 it’s a great way to start growing your own herb garden at an affordable price.

The kit would also make a great gift for any cocktail lover in your life, so it might be an idea to bookmark it for any social distance birthday celebrations down the line.
