Good Guy Dublin Bus Driver Goes that Extra Mile

A Dublin Bus driver has received a glowing review having gone out of his way for a group of concert-goers.

The post, which appeared on notalwaysright.com, explains how a group of friends who were attending a concert missed all the shuttle buses only to be rescued by a driver on an ‘Out of Service’ bus.

 

The group of friends seemingly got stranded on their way home.

He apparently stopped to collect the group, said that he would pretend to be a shuttle (as the next Nightlink wasn't until 2.00am) and headed toward Trinity College where the journey usually terminates.

On the way the group tried to call a cab but didn’t have any service on their mobile phones so the driver lent them his (another good deed).

Despite getting through they were then told that a seven-seater wouldn’t be able to come out and that they would have to flag a couple of taxis down.

 

The group tried to get a cab but this didn't work.

On overhearing the worried discussion that came after, the bus driver asked the group where they and the other one passenger left on the bus needed to go.

The friends said Deansgrange and the other guy said Dun Laoghaire to which the driver said: “Shag it, I’ll drop you all home!” Talk about being a good Samaritan! 

The Dublin Bus driver essentially rescued the friends.
