The happiest country in the world to live in has just been revealed

Orlaith Condon

And we’re moving immediately.

What makes a country a happy place to live? It’s everything from life expectancy, social support to the levels of corruption in a country that are taken into consideration, and the World Happiness Report has ranked 156 countries to find what country has come out on top.

While it’s no surprise that the Scandinavian countries have yet again come out on top, it’s always interesting to see in what order they fall.

And coming from fifth place on last year’s table, this year’s winner is… Finland!

Yes, the Nordic country has topped the polls this year and beat out some tough competition from last year’s winner Norway and high-ranking Denmark.

But it wasn’t just the Scandinavian countries that made the list – here are the rest of the top ten happiest countries in the world.

And if you’re wondering what makes Finland so damn happy, then these pictures of the landscape might be an indicator.
