We have some very important news to tell you but before we get to that we have to warn you that you may want to cry, lie in bed for the next three days and watch Step Up on repeat.
Channing Tatum, the world’s sexiest man, has revealed that he is going to take a break from acting next year. We know, we were also very surprised!
Anyway the 32-year-old actor is apparently going to put his onscreen roles on hold so that he can focus on his work behind the camera.
Channing Tatum with Reid Carolin and Matthew McConaughey.
According to reports today the Magic Mike star and his production partner, Reid Carolin, have a number of projects in the pipeline.
He said: “We have about three to four ideas that we love that are all in the hopper. By the end of next year, we’re going to shut things down and write the first thing that we’re going to direct.”
Now we’re not entirely sure what that translates as but it appears that Channing wants to concentrate more on directing than acting next year.
We'll just have to make do with his old films for when he's off directing.
And while we can think of a number of reasons why he should stay in front of the camera (his chest, his six-pack, his bum, his legs, his face), we have to respect his wishes.
Besides, we can always stock up on a few DVDs to get us through the year… Oh Santa, think we’ll have half a dozen copies of Magic Mike please!
