It’s too difficult to choose just one so I’m going to cheat and say that from my childhood presents (that I can actually remember), I’d have to say either my mountain bike or my Barbie motorhome.
One left me with a quite a few grazes and lots of holiday memories while the other was pink and fabulous. From the gifts I have received over the past few years, I’d have to go for my ski boots… although that title may have to go to the footwear I’m getting this year (a pair of Christian Louboutins).

While Christmas is magical no matter what age you are, you really can’t beat the fun Santa brings. One Christmas in particular stands out for it was a year I woke up at five in the morning to find Santa had delivered a stocking full of goodies including a Spice Girls annual.
After the mandatory chocolate Santa and sister giggles, it was time to wake my parents, translated as insist they get up immediately. Better still, was the realisation that Santa had delivered and brought a desk complete with an office kit. Needless to say, this delighted my inner Monica.

I’ll never forget the year my sister and I got matching roller skates. We thought these were the best invention ever. Nobody warned us we’d need to have some type of balance to actually be able to use them, and that a huge number of injuries would be the result of trying to look like a pro trying to manoeuvre around the block.
Also my sister and I decided to take them for a test drive down the stairs on Christmas day, taking down the Christmas tree at the end of the stairs, crashing and melting half the chocolates that hadn’t been moved in time and taking the garlands down from the bannister.
That was definitely a case of buyer’s remorse for my mum…

Like most young girls, I always wanted a dollhouse for Christmas and one year, I woke up on the big day to the best surprise ever - a wooden dollhouse that my Dad had made for me. It was painted pink, had car parking spaces and the windows even had little net curtains. It's still the best present I've ever gotten because so much effort went into it and I'll never give it away!

I will never forget the Christmas I got my first bike! My mam had locked the garage and told me that the tumble dryer was flooding (duh, stupid 7-year-old). On Christmas Day, I got the coolest pink and black bike ever although I was completely bemused as to how it had no water damage from being in the garage.
