Here’s how you can get 18 days in a row off in 2017 (but you MUST move fast)

The placement of bank holiday days in 2017 means if you take these days off, you’re getting a very lengthy holiday

Dreaming of sun-soaked beaches, fruity cocktails and days spent lounging by the pool?

What if we told you there was a way to swing an 18 day holiday, using only nine holiday days from work?

There is a nice little bank holiday phenomenon that means Easter and the May bank holiday are separated by only a few days.

It means that if you request the 18th to the 28th of April off using your actual holiday days, the added days extra will stick on either side and you’ll be free as a bird for 18 days.

According to The Metro, it works because Good Friday falls on the 14th of April. Easter Monday will be on the 17th. The May bank holiday, obviously is the 1st of May so providing you work for a company that gives an automatic day off on those days your last day at work will be the 13th of April and you will return on the 2nd of May.

Breaking it down, the 18 days will consist of three bank holidays, six weekend days and nine in the working week.

You might want to get to it quickly though, we’re sure as soon as this gets around the bookings will fill up.

You can thank us later.
