Here’s how you can get 18 days in a row off in 2017 (but you MUST move fast)

Dreaming of sun-soaked beaches, fruity cocktails and days spent lounging by the pool?

What if we told you there was a way to swing an 18 day holiday, using only nine holiday days from work?

There is a nice little bank holiday phenomenon that means Easter and the May bank holiday are separated by only a few days.

It means that if you request the 18^th to the 28^th of April off using your actual holiday days, the added days extra will stick on either side and you’ll be free as a bird for 18 days.

According to The Metro, it works because Good Friday falls on the 14^th of April. Easter Monday will be on the 17^th. The May bank holiday, obviously is the 1^st of May so providing you work for a company that gives an automatic day off on those days your last day at work will be the 13^th of April and you will return on the 2^nd of May.

Breaking it down, the 18 days will consist of three bank holidays, six weekend days and nine in the working week.
