The future is now...

A new hotel set to open in Japan this summer will be staffed almost entirely by robots.

The Henn-na Hotel, situated in the Huis Ten Bosch amusement park in Nagasaki, Japan, will boast 72 rooms and a staff you’ll never be sure whether or not to tip.

Ten humanoid robots will cater to guests; greeting visitors, carrying bags and cleaning rooms.

Room rates per night will start from €53.

According to The Washington Post, the robots will be able to make eye contact and respond to body language. They will speak fluent Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and English.

Speaking at a local news conference Huis Ten Bosch president Hideo Sawada said: “In the future, we’d like to have more than 90 percent of hotel services operated by robots.”

In a further sign that the future is now, guests will also have no need for keys. Instead, they will be able to gain access to their rooms through facical recognition software. Grappling with the air-conditioning will be a thing of the past also, as radiation panels will detect body hear and adjust room temperatures.

If this hotel sounds like your sci-fi dream, start looking up flights. The robot hotel is set to open on July 17th.
