Holly Carpenter has just summed up the despair of all of us who use Tinder

God help us all.

Ah, the trials and tribulations of Tinder.

Common sense tells you to stay well away… the reality of finding love in Ireland in 2017 can dictate otherwise.

Granted, those of us who are used to swiping our way through the dating world, will be well used to seeing all sorts of random profiles out there.

However, we reckon that Holly Carpenter has just summed up the real-life despair of Tinder in a single tweet.

Taking to the platform – where she has 30K followers -on Sunday evening the former Miss Ireland shared: “Had a weak moment and re downloaded Tinder.. first bio I saw – ‘Fancy Netflix & morning after pill?'”

She added in a subsequent response: “Like… are they trying to repel women; who will swipe right for that?” also stating: “I just stared at my phone for about 5 minutes trying to process it… so disheartening.”

And needless to say, Holly got a furious response in the aftermath. “Mother of christ divine,” said one person. “I’m so mortified for those individuals,” said someone else. Another just lamented: “Wow makes me glad I’ve never had a date.”

Holly, 27, lives in Raheny in Dublin and has three gorgeous rescue dogs: Toby, Gus and Juno.

In the past, she’s dated the likes of RTE soccer pundit Richie Sadlier, rugby player Cian Healy, and Danny O’Reilly of the Coronas.
