It turns out that the Vatican do in fact have a position on Batman. The strange tweet which came from the official Vatican twitter account this week also provided a link to an article regarding the caped crusader.
Immediately after the tweeted was posted, the whole entire known world on twitter assumed the Vatican account had been hacked. However, (sadly) the tweet was genuine.
The officially recognised Batman.
The article itself warns parents of the detrimental influence of the caped crusader and the fact that the hero has become a lot darker and sinister over the years. Surprisingly, the Church finds the Adam West version a much better hero than Nolan’s take.
This latest stand the Church have taken does seem like a strange one; the new Batman isn’t exactly evil.
However, you can read the entire article here. We still appreciate the tweet!
