One American man went to extraordinary efforts to try secure himself a date and ended up getting arrested.
45-year-old Stephen Ramsey had one too many when he decided to phone emergency services.
The Florida native drunk called 911 several times to ask the operator if she would like to go on a date.
As standard procedure, the seven-minute long prank call was recorded and has been uploaded online.
Ramsey was later arrested for his actions.
The operator handled the nuisance call with extreme patience, as Ramsay joked with her querying how she felt about handcuffs.
According to abc7, the man told police when arrested that he was in search of an escort service to help him pass the time.
