Huberman Gets Knocked Down, But She Gets Back Up Again

Amy Huberman’s career got knocked down, but the actress has vowed she is coming back again. 

The star has reportedly auditioned for another vet-themed comedy, just months after she was replaced on the US vet show ‘Animal Practice’.

The 33-year-old suffered a massive blow to her career earlier this year when the production team behind ‘Animal Practice’ replaced her after she took part in the show’s pilot. Amy had played the lead in the first episode but was replaced by an American actress.

The actress spoke for the first time about being axed from the US comedy last month.

The star admitted to Irish Tatler that she found the news of her axing difficult to deal with at the time but wasn’t too disheartened.

“The way it happened was pretty harsh because they released a statement saying it was happening for reasons that may come out down the line.

 “Pilot season is rough because they may have had their eye on someone else who hadn’t been free who suddenly is because their pilot wasn’t picked up.

“So you’re nothing... nothing is definite and it is such ‘tick the boxes’.

“They might look at it and go, ‘We need a Spanish girl for this part, we need that person, blah blah’.

“So you have to take it with a pinch of salt.

 “NBC have said they want to find something else for me and I do believe that something else will happen from that.

“Apparently Lisa Kudrow played the English doctor in ‘Frasier’ and was recast, only to appear in ‘Friends’ a few years later.

“I’m not saying the same thing will happen but they may have something else that they might want me to do."

The star kept it light-hearted yesterday and chirped; “From one vet comedy to another. Here’s hoping I don’t get recast this time!”

The Dublin woman is currently taking part in auditions. Her spokesperson said she did not have any details on what vet show it is.
