Yikes.
Bathroom manners are an issue for many couples as everyone has different opinions on what should and shouldn’t be allowed.
Stray hairs in the plughole (nasty we know), toothpaste on the mirror, leaving the toilet seat up, not replacing the toilet roll…you get the idea.
One man became so frustrated with his wife’s bathroom habits that he took the time and effort to pen an extremely detailed list of the things that seriously irritated him.
The list was uploaded to Facebook by ABC Brisbane and we had to laugh after seeing it.
It features entire paragraphs on ‘the toothpaste’, ‘bath towels’, ‘bathroom bin’, ‘my razor’ and ‘the flush’.
Our particular favourite was asking his wife if she believed in the existence of a ‘Bathroom Bin Fairy’ because he’s been the one emptying the bin for the eight years they’ve been together.
He went to some effort and it didn’t go unnoticed by his wife.
Speaking to ABC afterwards, she said:
“It’s more a written warning, and I can put my hand on my heart and say it’s my first written warning from my current husband. I’d like to think it’s my first and final.
He made a really important point about bathroom politics and marriages and how it’s important to be open about it and chat … about how you share bathrooms because it could really be a reflection of the marriage”.
