Grace’s Choice: Taking The Mick…

Grace says: This week my favourite story caused quite a mixed reaction in office because it isn’t exactly for the fainthearted. The Internet was introduced to Reddit user ‘Penisindoor’, a man, who at the tender age of 12 lost his penis in an accident. His reproductive organ was severed off completely after he jokingly placed it through a partially opened door, only to have his BFF accidentally slam the door shut. Now in his early 30s, the man conducted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) and the gent was happy to answer all the queries we were wondering about…

Cathy’s Choice: Mother Knows Best

Cathy says: Putting together a list of why mothers are amazing made me realise just how lucky I am to have a Mam who is one in a million. Yeah, when we fight it’s all kinds of scary but saying that, if I’ve a problem I know the first person I’ll turn to. Here’s to all the Mammies.

Sue’s Choice: Breaking Up Is Hard To Do… Except For This Time

Sue says: My favourite story of the week is the one that confirmed Zac Efron is single again. Now nice and all as Michelle Rodriguez is, I like to think that I might have SOME chance with him. I know this is a complete impossibility but if he is single, surely that helps? Plus he can stay more focused on his work… and the gym. What’s that? No, I don’t have a restraining order.

Rebecca’s Choice: A Little Bit of Magic

Rebecca says: As a huge Harry Potter fan, this has to be my favourite story of the week. I had the pleasure of talking to Daniel Radcliffe about his new film What If (which is incredibly charming and definitely worth a trip to the cinema) this week and, despite the fact that I HATE watching myself on camera, I was rather happy with the finished product.

Michelle’s Choice: Ladies Gone GAA GAA

Michelle says: As a Clare woman it’s breaking my heart that I won’t get a big day out in Croker this year to scream for my county. That said, it’s a spectacle no matter who is playing, so I really enjoyed putting together this list of the 10 things a newbie should know before making their way to HQ for one of the big days out.

Liz’ Choice: Love Is An Open Door

Liz says: We’ve seen the duets, lip syncs and tributes to Frozen and then one guy went all out and did the ultimate in Disney dedication – a Frozen proposal.

From custom costumes, to an entry on horseback, I won’t spoil the ending for you. What I will say is you have to see the pictures, oh and the lip-syncing video. (Yes, there’s a video)

Marie’s Choice: You’re Hired!

Marie says: It’s tough to land a job in your chosen field these days but it can be easy to get dispirited and frustrated when experiencing frustration after frustration. That’s why I loved this story about a marketing graduate who decided that, instead of sitting at home moaning about his predicament, he was going to take matters into his own hands and make stuff happen. Just shows that a little bit initiative can go a long way!
