We now know that there are a couple more series of Sherlock in the works but we were slightly concerned that somehow Benedict Cumberbatch might not sign on again for the next series.
Well, fear not. Benedict seems to have put our minds at rest by telling USA Today that he will work on the project for as long as the character evolves.
"I'll keep doing it as long as Sherlock grows, as long as I feel he's developing and there's stuff we're all being challenged by and that it's being loyal to the original stories as well," he revealed in an interview.
"[The show has] done a lot," he explained. "I won't say it's changed my life, because I had a huge break at the same time as this role first came to fruition. It was a sort of perfect storm of all mediums coming together at the same time, television, film and theater, even some radio."
We're taking from this that a lot more Sherlock is on the way. We hope!
