Well done ladies, you’ve done yourselves proud.

37,000 women took to the streets of Dublin’s city centre today for the 2015 VHI Women’s Mini Marathon.

Despite the miserable weather, the event was certainly a resounding success with a fantastic atmosphere and great craic on and off the course.

The event was won by Maria McCambridge in a time of 34.03 , with Ann-Marie Glynn in second and Catherina McKiernan in third spot. Sinéad Kane won the Visually Impaired Category in a time of 45.45.

Speaking at the event was John O’Dwyer, Chief Exectuive of VHI Healthcare.

“We want to extend our huge congratulations to Maria McCambridge and to the thousands of ladies who crossed the finish line today. This is a phenomenal event that promotes health and fitness around the country as well as raising much needed funds for hundreds of worthy causes.”

Our own Her.ie gals took to the streets for the event too and were thrilled to cross the finish line.
