Pancake Tuesday is arguably one of the best days in the calendar but this year we've decided to spice things up a bit with a few different recipes for our favourite treat.
Seriously, what other day can you have no shame in gorging yourself on pancakey goodness?! (We may have made up that word).
Here are three great alternative pancake recipes in prep for Pancake Tuesday.

Rocky Road PancakesIngredients
225g plain flour
300ml milk
30g butter melted and cooled
2 large eggs beaten
1tbsp Dr Oetker Baking Powder
1tsp sugar
Pinch of salt
4 digestive biscuits roughly crushed
I packet of Dr Oetker Chocolate Chips
10 Dr Oetker Mini Marshmallows
Method:
Sieve the flour, Baking Powder, salt and sugar into a large bowl.
Make a well in the centre and add in the milk and beaten eggs.
Gradually mix the ingredients together until there are no lumps
Mix in the melted butter and the digestive biscuits, the butter will help with frying.
Ladle into the pan. When the bubbles start to form turn over and sprinkle with Mini Marshmallows and Chocolate Chips which instantly start to melt.
American-Style Blueberry PancakesIngredients
200g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
300ml milk
60g butter
150g pack blueberries
sunflower oil or a little butter for cooking
golden or maple syrup
Don’t leave yourself get too hungry beforehand, these may take 30 minutes to prepare and cook!
Method:
Mix together the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt in a large bowl.
Beat the egg with the milk, make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and whisk in the milk to make a thick smooth batter. Beat in the melted butter, and gently stir in half the blueberries.
Heat a teaspoon of oil or small knob of butter in a large non-stick frying pan. Drop a large tablespoonful of the batter per pancake into the pan to make pancakes about 7.5cm across.
Make three or four pancakes at a time.
Cook for about 3 minutes over a medium heat until small bubbles appear on the surface of each pancake, then turn and cook another 2-3 minutes until golden.
Cover with kitchen paper to keep warm while you use up the rest of the batter.
Serve with golden syrup and the rest of the blueberries.
Gold and Silver Coin PancakesIngredients
225g plain flour
300ml milk
30g butter melted
1Tesp sugar
2 large egg beaten
1tbsp Dr Oetker Baking Powder
Pinch of salt
I packet Dr Oetker Chocolate Chips
Decorating
Gold and Silver Shimmer Spray
Neon Writing Icing
Method:
Sieve the flour, Baking Powder, salt and sugar into a large bowl.
Make a well in the centre and add in the milk and beaten eggs.
Gradually mix the ingredients together until there are no lumps
Mix in the melted butter and Chocolate Chips, the butter will help with frying
Spoon tablespoons of the mixture into a heated pan and as the bubbles start to form on top turn over until brown.
When you have enough coins made spray withGold and Silver Shimmer Spray and write names and currencies with the Neon Writing Icing.
