Creating a colour scheme for your room using more than one colour may feel daunting.
Most people default to using a blanket neutral colour on their walls and introducing colour through soft furnishings.
However by introducing more than one colour on your walls, you can dramatically transform a space and it gives you the opportunity to put your own personal stamp on your room.
There are many different types of colour combinations to choose from and the question for most people is where to start! A common starting point is to look at the items in your room that you won’t be replacing like furniture, carpet or curtains as this will dictate what colours you can use in that room.
Many of these fixed items in people’s homes are neutral in tone i.e. beige, brown, black etc. etc., here are some foolproof schemes that can help to transform your room.
A grassy green like Agathia Green is balanced well with a simple grey like Silverwood. These are both from the Dulux Easycare range which is a washable matt paint suitable for high traffic areas like halls, kitchens and playrooms.
