Ireland is getting a cocktail festival and it sounds amazing

This is our kind of festival!

This is our kind of festival!

Last year Dublin hosted the first ever cocktail festival in Ireland, a city-wide celebration of some of the cocktails made with Irish spirits.

Now this year it’s going nationwide inviting loads of different bars and venues to get on board. It takes place from October 10th – 15th and will see lots of licensed bar, restaurant or hotels getting involved by showcasing one of the several Irish spirits they use to make their cocktails.

Registration for the festival is free and can be done in three simple steps on the website. They’re constantly updating the list of venues who are getting involved and so far they have over 50 signed up.

They include bars in Dublin like LeMuel’s, Zozimus, The Exchequer and House and Cork spots such as Market Lane, Ballymaloe House, Brick Lane and The Edison.

Elsewhere around the country the following venues will invite people in to sample their cocktails, Foodworks, Kilkenny, Dock No 1, Galway, The Bailey Bar Cafe, Wexford, The Glasshouse, Galway and Roundy’s Bar, Tralee.

As soon as the festival starts, the public will be asked to vote for their favourite Irish Cocktail of the festival by using the #IrishCocktail on Twitter or by telling us on our Facebook page. There will be a host of prizes for the venue that gets the most amount of votes.

Full information and list of bars can be found on their website.
