Irish bar in New York named ‘best in the world’

Any excuse for a visit!

New York City bar ‘The Dead Rabbit’ has been named the best bar in the world.

The Dead Rabbit is owned by Belfast men Jack McGarry and Sean Muldoon and this is a major accolade for the establishment.

The list of 50 best bars in the world is compiled by Drinks International and this year, the Dead Rabbit is number one.

Although the bar is no stranger to awards having come second on this particular list for the past two years, it’s quite the feat to make it to the top spot.

The bar, which serves everything from decadent cocktails to hearty Irish breakfasts has knocked The Artesian in London from its perch.

This is pretty impressive considering the London nightspot held the coveted first place for the past four years.

It’s located at 30 Water Street, Manhattan and if you’re in NYC, it’s definitely a must-visit.
