Who doesn’t love a good cocktail?

Lucky for us, the second annual Irish Cocktail Festival will be running all across the country from Monday, October 9 right up to Saturday, 14 October.

On that day there will be hosting a closing party at Eastside Tavern on Leeson Street, Dublin 2 from 6 to 9 pm.

Tickets for the party can be purchased here, and everyone in attendance will be able to sample a host of different Irish spirits and enjoy a complimentary Irish cocktail made from a special menu that is being put together especially for the big finale of the festival.

Sounds class.

Once the festival begins, the public may vote for their favourite cocktail by using the #BestIrishCocktail hashtag on twitter or by heading to the festival’s Facebook page.

The winning venue can then lay claim to having the finest Irish Cocktail on the island of Ireland, joining last year’s winner was Davy Mac’s in Waterford with their “Apple Market” cocktail made with Gunpowder Irish Gin.

Meanwhile, any bar, restaurant or hotel in Ireland and Northern Ireland can take part in the cocktail festival.

All they need to enter is a love for supporting Irish drink products and to showcase a cocktail made with one of our official Irish brands for the duration of the festival in their venue. Registration is free and can be accessed easily by hitting up the organisers’ website.

Sounds delicious.
