Tommy Tiernan is the latest Irish star to have landed a television series.
The comedian is set to write, direct and appear in a new sitcom for Sky according to reports this morning.
Tommy is one of the country's most successful comedians.
Apparently the series is based around the story of a psychiatric patient who moves home to live with his mum.
Speaking about it on the Ray D’Arcy Show this week, Tommy said: “It’s a bit of craic.” (We'll just have to take his word on that one for now!)
Chris O'Dowd is one of the other Irish stars who has made a move to Sky.
Fingers crossed all goes as well for him as it did for Chris O’Dowd who has had incredible success with Moone Boy which is based on his own childhood.
