She's got it!
An Irish mum-of-one has made it through to bootcamp in the new series of 'X-Factor'.
Talented Laura Mulligan wowed the judges to silence in the over-28s auditions in London earlier this year. Now the country and western-loving singer is in with the chance of making it to the judge's houses to sing live for a place in the live finals.
Laura is originally from Westmeath but is now living in Tullamore, Co Offaly.
Laura said she was blown away by the judges' reactions to her performance. This year's judges are Louis Walsh, 60, Tulisa, 24, Gary Barlow, 41 and Nicole Scherzinger, 34.
*Spoiler Alert* You can check out the judge's categories here.
Laura told the Irish Sun; “It was fantastic and very surreal. You are among very big personalities.”
The Irish mother said she found the first round of auditions “quite easy” as she seemed to fly through them, after being picked from over 57,000 hopefuls.
The Midlands singer has already been on the television having appeared on TG4's series 'Glór Tíre' in 2009. Now Laura may have the chance to hit it big time with the help of such influential judges.
Laura said her biggest fan is her 5-year-old son, Reeve.
“He loves listening to me singing. It was tough being away from him, but if you want to pursue a dream in life that's what you have to do to get to where you want to be.
“It's my dream to be a well-known artist. Stay tuned for the rest!”
The new series of the show will hit our screens later this month.
