Irish mum collects €200k on scratch card she thought was worth €20k

“I should have gone to Specsavers!”

An Irish mum had unbelievable luck from a scratch card this week.

The anonymous lady from Dublin was delighted to discover she had won €20,000 on a €10 All Cash scratch card she bought on the way to collect her children from school.

But there was even more good news when she went to collect her winnings from the National Lottery headquarters – she discovered she had, in fact, won €200,000.

According to Breaking News, the lady had failed to register a digit on the card when she scratched it and didn’t realise just how much she had won.

The mum of three was absolutely delighted:

“I went weak at the knees with excitement. It is clear I should have gone to Specsavers!

“My first thought was that I could go on a sun holiday with the kids. I have never been further than Scotland before”.

A representative from the National Lottery said that staff were delighted for the woman.

“There was a great buzz in the office when we were able to give the happy news to our player that her win was actually 10 times more than she initially thought. We remind all our scratch card players to always read their cards carefully after scratching them.”
