The rain might have returned with a vengeance this past week but it appears the good weather is going to return.
Apparently the sun will be coming out again (hip hip hip hooray!) and temperatures are expected to range up to 27C for the week ahead.
The milder weather is expected to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday and stay for at least five days which means next weekend is predicted to be a good one.
Met Éireann forecaster Pat Clarke told the Irish Independent: “We won’t be seeing anything like what we had in July – but certainly the forecasting models we are using have been hinting of a warmer and settled period on the way.”
But if you found yourself praying for colder temperatures during the heat wave, don’t worry as it is not expected to be as intense.
Clarke explained: “It won’t be the oppressive heat that a lot of people don’t actually like, but nice warm weather.”

Sunshine and higher temperatures have been forecast for the week ahead.
