We've all been there at one point or another...
You've got a deadline looming and know you'll have to pull an all-nighter to get it done.
Ireland is experiencing its one day of heavy snow a year, traffic is at a standstill and you don't fancy the 3 hour commute home when it usually takes you 20 minutes.
Or you've eaten too much at lunch, are now slumped over your desk barely able to keep your eyes open and a quick 20 minut power nap would make you right as rain.
Wishing for a bed in work is actually quite a common occurance (note: research restricted to Her.ie staffers) and now you can actually make your wish come true with the Convertible Desk Bed by Greek designer Athanasia Leivaditou of Studio NL.
This hardworking piece of hybrid furniture looks like a normal desk from the outside but underneath lies a fully functioning bed complete with what looks to be a TV at the end, perfect if you like to nod off to your favourite programme or box set.

You'd never know there's a bed in there...
The desk which converts in four easy steps can then be tucked away again in the morning, presumably before colleagues arrive.
Explaining the motivation behind the design, Studio NL says "In the competitive environments of the new Metroplis, work almost defines the purpose of our existence. Physical, psychological and intellectual isolation has become a common phenomenon in the megacities. Our lives are shrinking in order to fit into the confined space of our office,"
Let's hope it doesn't catch on here!
