First dates can go one way or the other: either you get on a house like fire and are totally on board for another meeting OR it's a complete disaster from start to finish.
Anne Thériault, a writer from Toronto, recently witnessed what sounds like one of the most excruciatingly awkward first dates in the history of first dates.
