Justin Bieber to Make His Big-Screen Debut Next Year?

Are you eagerly awaiting the release of Justin Beiber’s cinematic debut? (It’s okay, you can tell us if you are. We won’t judge you. Promise!). Well good news, because according to a certain Mr Mark Wahlberg, the Biebes could be on our cinema screens next year!

The Irish Independent reports that Mark Wahlberg has let slip that the release date of Bieber’s first movie could be a lot sooner than we think.

Justin is set to star in an upcoming basketball-themed film alongside Mark Wahlberg, who lumped praise onto the Bieber in a recent interview with entertainment television channel E!

When he was asked about if his film with Justin Bieber could be completed by next year, Mark confidently said: “Possibly, if I have anything to do with it.”

“We got a first draft. They did an edit on the script and got to make some changes and do a little bit of rewrite and polish but I’ve been in contact with [Justin’s] managers and the studio a lot. We just want to make it great and we’re getting there,” he said.

Mark Wahlberg: a new addition to the Belieber masses?

This isn’t the first time that the Biebs has put on his acting hat. Oh no. He previously appeared as a troubled team in CSI and in his new film with Mark, he’ll be playing the part of a basketball player.

“I just think personally we have a great idea…He’s a great athlete…he wants to have success in the movie world and acting as well,” said Mark, speaking about Justin.

“He’s focused and patient about finding the right particular part, working with the right people and I think he’d do a great job. I think we have good chemistry and like I said he’s right for this particular part and it’s an idea we’ve had for a while,” added Mark.
