When Her.ie were set a challenge to go head to head with JOE.ie for a cook-off, we thought ‘no problem’. We’ll just send our resident foodie Úna along, and she’ll whip up a kitchen storm like you’ve never seen before.
But the folks at The Marker Hotel were wise to our game, and instead extended the challenge to our editor Michelle, who has been known to have difficulties making toast. Not good.
So, off went Michelle, along with JOE.ie editor Mike Sheridan, to get a lesson from the best – namely, Gareth Mullins, Executive Chef at Dublin’s spectacular Marker Hotel, Grand Canal Square, Dublin.
Chef was ready to show us what it takes to be a killer in the kitchen… but did we have what it takes to replicate his dishes?
We now have one weekend to practice, and on Monday Mike and Michelle will do kitchen battle to see which team can come out on top.
For glory, for pride… the chef will decide.
May the best website win.
