In this section, the number of people who were married in Ireland was recorded and it has increased by nearly five percent since 2011.
Marriages made up 47.7 percent of the population in Ireland with 1,792,151 people having tied the knot by the end of April in 2016.
The average age that people get married in Ireland is 33 for females and 35 for males.
Of course, getting married has a lot more to do with how much you love someone and want to spend the rest of your life with them instead of what age you are.
However, those of you who are in your mid-thirties will now feel like your wedlock clock is ticking faster than it should be.
