LeAnn Rimes has been heavily criticized for a comment that she made during an interview on the "In Bed with Joan" series which premiered earlier last week.
According to Us Weekly, the singer made the comment during the interview where she appeared with her husband Eddie Cibrian.
When asked about losing her virginity by Joan Rivers, she replied: "I was in Monte Carlo and I was 15?" Rimes claimed. "I know, it's kind of a bulls--- story. I was 16. There you go."
"Was it nice? Was it bad? Was he nice?" Rivers pressed on.
"Well, he was my boyfriend for like three and a half years," Rimes explained. "He was fine. I think I raped him. I think that's how it happened."
Unsurprisingly, Rimes immediately started to receive tweets concerning the matter criticizing the comment and calling it offensive.
Rimes has yet to respond to the tweets.
