Looks Like McDonalds Is Getting A Hipster Makeover

We don't know if this is a good or bad thing...

The whole THING about McDonalds is how terrible but tasty it is, right?

Well, the fast food giant is going all foodie on us, and rolling out a range of Michelin chef-approved, gourmet burgers.

“The Classic” from the new signature range.

The chain’s UK branches debuted the new artisan treats on Tuesday, which feature regional beef, natural cheeses and elevated ingredient combinations.

The premium burgers are in answer to growing competition from gourmet burger chains.

The “Signature Range” will be trialled in 28 London and Manchester restaurants before being introduced in 400 restaurants next summer.

McD2
“The Spicy” complete with jalapeno peppers and pepperjack cheese.

Duncan Cruttenden, food development director at McDonalds explained that the burgers were created with the help of customer feedback.

He said: “At McDonald’s we are committed to listening to our customers and evolving our menu to offer something for everyone.”

BBQ
“The BBQ” in the new brioche-style bun.

“When the chef council started to develop this new premium offering, we worked with a brief generated by our customers – they told us they wanted thicker beef patties and high quality ingredients, freshly prepared.

“We’ve crafted a range that is a truly exciting permanent addition to our menu – every product has to earn a place and our customers have told us the signature collection has done just that.”

Soon we won’t be cool enough for McDonalds…
