Our very own Louis Walsh wants to take to the West End stage...
The show's Irish judge wants to star in Harry Hill’s ‘X-Factor’ musical.
The talent show judge, who sits alongside Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and newcomer Nicole Scherzinger on the panel of the programme, loves the comedian’s idea of creating a West End production based on the ITV1 talent show and is keen on making a guest appearance.
When asked if he would be up for starring the musical, he said; “Yeah, and I love Harry Hill. I think it’s a great idea and I definitely think it will work.”
Louis, Tulisa, Nicole, Caroline and Dermot at the X-Factor launch yesterday.
Louis also said artists shouldn’t feel they have to win the ‘X-Factor’ competition to triumph as artists in the music industry, and he used the former ‘X-Factor’ finalists One Direction and JLS as successful examples.
He believes viewers will be “really surprised” with the diverse level of talent in this year’s competition.
Speaking at the ‘X-Factor’ launch, Louis added; “The ‘X-Factor’ is a great platform and you don’t have to win it to be successful but everyone wants to win it.
“I think this year you’re going to be really surprised at the difference in talent. There are all sorts of people this year. I know who the final 12 are and there is something for everybody.”
The ‘X-Factor’ begins tomorrow night on ITV1 and TV3.
