Low on likes? This is the best time to post your Instagram pics

Take note.

instagram times

We all know the feel.

Posting a pic of Instagram and watching as it receives a measly 15 likes, shoots down the end of everybody’s feed, never to be seen again.

It’s embarrassing.

You’d almost want to delete the post altogether, purge all social media, and go live in a cave for a few months.

Thankfully now though, we won’t have to because the optimum times for posting pictures on Instagram have been revealed.

According to app Latergramme, there are specific times during the day that users should be posting to their Instagram feeds to ensure that they get the most likes possible.

And, surprisingly, the times that work best for people are actually 5pm and 2am.

Yep, 2am.

Didn’t see that one coming, did you?

5pm makes sense – people are just finishing up work, starting their commutes, etc.

But what about 2 in the morning – surely that would be the worst time to post something?

Apparently not.

According to the guys over at Latergramme, 2am will actually get you a lot more likes because people’s feeds are less full then and those who are proper into their gramming will still be online late into the night.

If you want to get really specific about it though, it turns out that every day of the week has an optimum posting time.

They are as follows:

Sunday: 5pm.

Monday: 7pm and 10pm.

Tuesday: 3am and 10pm.

Wednesday: 5pm.

Thursday: 7am and 11pm.

Friday: 1am and 8pm.

Saturday: 12am and 2am.

Obviously, this all depends on who follows you (and how many people follow you), but if it’s going to help us stop getting embarrassing amounts of likes, it’s probably worth a shot.
