Luxury hotel in the Maldives is hiring someone to look after its turtles this summer

Olivia Hayes

What a dream job.

Ireland is looking pretty shit right now. It’s raining and it’s cold and it’s totally not what we thought June would look like.

Remember this time last year when it was glorious out? The sun was shining and we were all bopping around the country in shorts and t-shirts?

Those were the days.

But now, it’s miserable and we would do absolutely anything to get a bit of sunshine.

Well, if you love turtles (who doesn’t?) then you should check out this job that’s going in a very luxurious hotel in the Maldives.

The hotel is looking for an intern to work in its Marine Turtle Rescue Centre for two weeks in August, which will see you looking after the turtles, posting on Instagram, and going to workshops with veterinary experts.

Bad thing though, it isn’t paid (what the actual…?) but you will get free flights over, free meals and free accommodation.

You will also be offered to partake in a sunset cruise, diving, dolphin watching, and a guided group snorkelling trip in the stunning Baa Atoll.

If you want to apply for the internship you have to do is submit a 2 to 3-minute video and a 500-word cover letter explaining why you think you would be great for the job.
