Mairead Farrell to Present New Programme on RTÉ Two

Mairead Farrell is going to be one very busy lady as it has been announced that the radio and television presenter will host RTÉ Two’s new programme The Movie Show.

The 16-part series, which kicks off on November 1st, will keep you up-to-date on all things film-related including the latest news and gossip as well as interviews with the stars and reviews on the most recent releases.

 

Mairead and Eoghan will be presenting the show together.

Speaking about the programme Mairead said: “I am thrilled to be part of The Movie Show. There’s nothing nicer than getting that bucket of buttery popcorn and heading into the cinema.

"Plus this show gives me a really good excuse to go see cheesy rom coms,” she added. Sounds like the perfect job if you ask us!

The Movie Show, which starts next month, is sponsored by Ford.

But the Celebrity Bainisteoir star won’t have to do it all by herself. Mairead will also be joined by a number of reporters as well as The Voice of Ireland’s Eoghan McDermott who seems to be looking forward to working with Her.ie contributor.

“I’m completely excited and delighted to be working on The Movie Show… And I fancy Mairead. Result!” he explained.

The Movie Show will air every Thursday at 9:00pm on  RTÉ Two starting November 1st.
