This is heartbreaking.

It's common knowledge that Mary Berry is an amazing woman. From her elegance, to her kindness to her baking. But something we admire her for even more is her ability to be strive and be so strong despite the death of her son. Last night, BBC showed part two of the Mary Berry Story, a documentary about the wonderful lady's life. At one point she begins to talk about her son William who died in 1989. She begins to weep as she tells the story of how the then 19-year-old boy died in a car crash. William had come home from university on a Friday night enjoyed dinner and time with his family.

"I remember him walking through the door and asking 'Who is coming?' And I said, 'It's for you, it's so lovely to see you and have you here'," Mary said tearfully.

He borrowed the family car the following day for a trip into town and saddly never returned. After they were alerted by the police, Mary and her husband rushed to the hospital where they said goodbye to their son.

"He just looked so beautiful and so lovely, his little cold face and it was nice to say farewell." She said.
