Mum creates a bucket list for her daughter who will soon be blind

This is so heartwarming.

This story makes you realise how much we take for granted.

When Cailee Herrell from Phoenix was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease at the age of two, her mom decided to take matters into her own hands.

Cailee suffers with familial exudative vitreoretinopthy, also known as FEVR that is defined as a “hereditary disorder that can cause progressive vision loss and in some cases can lead to blindness”.

Now a 6-year old, she can still see quite well. However, she has had five surgeries in her short lifetime and last winter, suffered a serious rentinal haemorrhage.

Cailee’s mum Catrina has decided to show her beautiful daughter as much as the world as possible and has created a “sightseeing bucket list” for her daughter before she loses any more of her vision.

So far Cailee has fulfilled her wish of seeing the ocean for the very first time. She has also been to Disneyland and met her favourite Disney princess Belle in a special dress that her grandmother had made for her.

“She was so excited to meet and talk to each princess and everyone was so amazing and took so much time with her,” Frost said. “It really was a magical day for her.” Her mum told The Huffington Post.

There are still so many things on the little girls wish list before she loses her vision forever. A dedicated Facebook page has been created so that people can follow this brave girl or even donate and help.
