Now You Can See If Your Partner Is On Tinder In Two Simple Steps

Uh...Ohhhhh.

Megan Cassidy

You know you want to check.

If you’ve ever been tempted to sign up to Tinder JUST to see if you come across your partner, we recommend you try out this website (and break up with your significant other.)

Swipebusters is a site created by a newlywed who wants us to be aware just how much of our data is online when we use dating apps like Tinder.

To demonstrate this, his site lets you search anyone and find out if they are on the dating app in a few simple steps.

The site charges $4.99 for three searches, and you asked to enter the person’s name, age, gender and location where they were likely to have last logged into the app.

Then voila, it will tell you whether or not they are on the app.

Not only that – it will provide their photos, the last time they logged on (even though Tinder doesn’t publicly reveal this information anymore) and whether they are interested in meeting men or women.

The anonymous creator told Vanity Fair: “There is too much data about people that people themselves don’t know is available.

“Not only are people oversharing and putting out a lot of information about themselves, but companies are also not doing enough to let people know they’re doing it.”

“A lot of people are going to be like ‘WHAT!,’ and hopefully a lot of people are going to be more careful, and Tinder is going to say we have to XYZ to protect our A.P.I.

“I think the positive outcome [is that] a company is going to be protective of its users. We’re expecting it to be quite impactful, and a lot more people will realize what kind of data they have online.”

In a statement, a Tinder spokeswoman said:  “Searchable information on the Web site is public information that Tinder users have on their profiles.

If you want to see who’s on Tinder we recommend saving your money and downloading the app for free.”
