We knew that Nicole Sherzinger was going to be the winning judge this year, after both of her boys got through to the second part of the final last night, but only one could win.
And all the hard work has paid off for 24-year-old James Arthur as Dermot O'Leary announced that he received the most votes.

James blew the judges away with his first audition.
Throughout the competition James has impressed the judges and the public with his unique take on popular songs. But even he managed to up his own standards this weekend with his renditions of Feeling Good and Make You Feel My Love which he performed with mentor Nicole.
James saw off strong competition in the form of Asda-worker-turned-singing-sensation Jahmene Douglas who has been one of the standout singers of this year's series and also pulled out all of the stops over the last two evenings.

Despite being in the bottom two one week, James has won this year's show.
James’ debut single, Impossible , is now available to download and is in aid of children’s charity Together for Short Lives which supports those who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.
