Brought to you by Crunchie We rarely get to see the lovely sun in Ireland but when it does shine, the coast is the only place to be.  Sure, it’s only hitting about the 16 degree mark but so what? It’s still a perfect day for a day out on the beach! You quickly grab your beach things and head out for what you hope will be an amazing few hours on the sand. Alas things don’t always go the way you want them to... Here are nine things that are probably going to happen if you head to an Irish beach this summer. 1.You fall over while fumbling with a towel while changing into your togs The wind is hitting your side and the uneven sand is toppling you over. You’ll somehow scald yourself on the barbeque The sparks jump out of the barbecue, get in your eyes and rubbing them just makes it worse. You end up in tears. 3. The wind shield will fall down repeatedly You desperately try and surround it with a few stones to prevent it from collapsing but with no luck. Prepare to have sand in your sandwiches. Gif via tumblr 4. Your beloved umbrella/beach ball/towel will decide to blow away It’s pretty inevitable that some of your beach equipment will fly off into the distance never to be seen again. 5. Seaweed will definitely ruin your day It’s everywhere. It rubs against your feet when you’re in the sea and gets between your toes... Why does it exist? 6. Sand will go places where it shouldn’t go There’s nothing worse than trying to clean out the bits of sand from your privates and shaking does nothing! Gif via giphy.com    7. Some horrible person will come and destroy your beautiful sand castle You stand up to admire your wonderful sand creation, not only does it have a distinct moat to hold in water but gorgeous turrets too. Turrets!! Then suddenly, like a bolt of lightning some ghastly so and so comes over and destroys it! Footprints everywhere in the smashed sand... It’s a heartbreaking experience. Gif via giphy.com  8. Some eegit gets their car stuck on the beach And then some poor sod has to tow them out while the rest of them do nothing and look on in amusement. 9. You apply waaaay too much sun screen and end up looking like Casper And you don’t even pull off the “Friendly Ghost” look – more like something terrifying out of The Ring.
