A bondage workshop has been cancelled after organisers were left 50 shades of red, having believed it was a relationship support group.
The event was to be held in Trumpington Village Hall in Cambridge, however when the hall’s trustees realised their beloved venue was being rented out under false pretences, the fun was over.

Caught out: Bondage workshop disguised as ‘relationship support group meeting’.
The sex masterclass organisers, Peer Rope, promised to teach those who attended lessons in flogging, spanking and domination, with advice on “violence/resistance play” and the “basics of erotic hypnosis”.
The programme included "Kink on a budget", focusing on, “BDSM (Bondage & Discipline, Dominance & Submission), without breaking the bank”, and all activites would be lead by ‘Mistress Bond’.
The hall, which is owned by a charitable group, usually hosts bingo and children’s activities. Cambridge News reports that manager Barbara Fernandez was outraged by the news, stating that the woman who submitted the forms did not truthfully say what she was intending using it for.
“The woman who made the booking said the group would be doing one thing, but they were doing something else. On the forms she said it was a ‘relationship support group meeting’. But it is not. It is bondage.”
“It is not a question of what activities they are doing, it is more about lying to us. We take things in good faith when they fill out the booking form. We do not bang on the doors to find out what people are doing.”
