While we think a Harry Potter-style magical barrier would be more effective, we suppose RTÉ’s extra security measures for the arrival of One Direction will have to do.
The boy band are said to be flying into Dublin this afternoon before heading out to the studios today for their appearance on The Late Late Show this evening.
Although rumours have it that the boys snuck into the country yesterday and enjoyed a few drinks in the capital city last night.

Ryan Tubridy will be speaking to the five boys tonight.
The television broadcasters are increasing the amount of security they have in order to manage the crowds that are expected to turn up to catch a glimpse of Niall Horan and co today.
An insider told The Irish Sun: “Security and barriers will be in place from early afternoon at RTÉ, as is procedure when big acts appear.
“Security will be there for the night and although fans are always advised that they probably won’t even get to see a band, they turn up anyway full of hope.”

They are expecting huge crowds of One Direction fans.
