One Irish DJ got a serious surprise onstage while gigging in Dublin on Monday night

This story is so hard to believe...

It’s safe to say, the Irish are like no other.

We have our own way of speaking, multiple food combinations that only WE know of and plenty of strange childhood memories that no one from any other country could relate to.

There are so many magical things that happen in Ireland that make no sense and yet, we laugh them off and keep on truckin’.

It’s part of the craic and mystery that surrounds our country that so many other countries fail to capture and what makes our cities the best in the world.

Another crazy story that has reached our ears is a tale from comedian, chef and DJ, Marcus O’Laoire.

Marcus was DJing a gig in Hangar in our country’s capital when he received a special gift from a member of the audience, presumably wanting to show his gratitude for the bangin’ tunes Marcus was greeting the ears of the congregation with.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t money, sweets or underwear that Marcus was gifted with, but rather… a dead squirrel. Yes, really.

Marcus explained the background to his unusual new gift on Facebook

“700 people jammed in a sweaty warehouse on a Monday night and some weird fuck throws me up a taxidermised squirrel cos I played his song.

“I asked him where he got it, he just winked and said “its the party animal”. Unreal.”

HOW INCREDIBLE.

Of all the things that DJs receive, this HAS to be the weirdest.
