One woman’s tweet has showed how bad the homelessness problem is in Dublin

It's only growing

Rebecca Keane

As the Winter weather gets colder as the evenings pass, those left homeless on the streets suffer.

One of the biggest social problems in Ireland today is homelessness.

Only last month, there were reports of someone urinating on a homeless man in Dublinand day by day, the homelessness crisis only seems to grow bigger and bigger.

Last Friday, illustrator Holly Shortall captured the awful extent of how many homeless people there are sleeping rough on Grafton Street.

The pictures she shared shows at least one homeless person sleeping in every doorway of a shop on Dublin’s busiest street.

The shocking photos spurred quite a response from fellow Twitter users, shocked at how many people are left abandoned on the streets today.
