This outlandish wedding request has sparked a major online debate

The crazy wedding requests just keep on coming and the latest one is nothing short of ridiculous. One Mumsnet user's story is spreading like wildfire across the internet this evening after she shared her story. Having been invited to a wedding, she assumed it was the full day because the invite didn't say otherwise but when she arrived, she and her plus one found out that the wedding was the day before and they were at the 'day after' where they were required to pay €50 to cover the cost of "the BBQ and drinks from the beer fridge". A new low, we think you'll agree. An excerpt from her post reads:

"I recently received a wedding invitation to the afters/evening do of an old college friends wedding. I thought it might be nice to see all the old faces and catch up. However, I had lunch with a mutual acquaintance who insisted that the wedding was on Friday but mine had Saturday on it so naturally I was confused and double checked - it had Saturday so I just thought the other person must be wrong. Anyway got to day and myself and partner went along ( it had a plus one so not gate crashing) when we got there it became clear that the wedding was the day before and we had been invited to the after party the day after..."
