If you’ve managed to squeeze in a long weekend away or a mid-week city break, the last thing you want to do is spend precious time de-tangling jewellery once you arrive.
But many of our favourite pieces are the long delicate type which lend themselves to getting all twisted up in a suitcase. Weeeh.
However, this little life hack will be a lifesaver from now on when it comes to transporting our bits and pieces.
The smart folk at Mental Floss have advised that a simple kitchen straw could mean the end of your accessory woes.
“If you have one tangle-prone necklace, try threading it through a plastic straw to keep the length of chain from twisting around itself.”
And they haven’t stopped there.
“If you’ve got a whole set of jewelry that tends to get knotted up, use cling wrap to keep things tidy: Sandwich your jewelry between two pieces, making sure to seal the spaces between individual items.”
Now we just need to go buy cling film, in case you thought we were grown ups.
