Paddy Power Apologise After Ill-Timed Message Sent From Mobile App

Bookmakers Paddy Power came under fire today after a message sent from their mobile app was deemed insensitive by many. The message, in relation to a horse named Un Temps Per Tout, read: Oh La La! However, Paddy Power has since apologised and explained that the tweet was scheduled in advance, before the devastating events which unfolded in Paris last night. In addition to the apology tweet sent from the Paddy Power account, a second tweet read: ‘Our thoughts are of course with the people of France and those affected by this tragedy".

Apologies for any offence caused by a push message sent today. This was scheduled before we knew about the tragic events in Paris.
