Pat Kenny has drawn some criticism for odd remarks he made about controversial tennis star Maria Sharapova on his Newstalk radio programme today.
He was speaking about the athlete’s recent revelation she had failed a doping test, and had been temporarily banned by the International Tennis Federation for testing positive for a banned substance.
However, some of Kenny’s listeners thought it might be a good thing for her to have a break from the game, so she could concentrate on what every good woman should: having a few kids.
Not the best move for International Women’s Day.
